Also known as Lake Kelimutu, tourism is also known as Lake of the three colors. A wealth of nature that is very amazing because three craters with proximity, yet have different water color. Color of the water of the Lake is generally red, white and blue, but can transform into a green, black and Brown, or other color variations. Uniquely, when researchers try to take this as a sample of the water of the Lake, the water is clear with no color.
Third Lake is separated by a steep rock cliff that is easy to avalanche, so tourists are expected to maintain a safe distance while in the area around the Lake. A good time to visit this tourist spot is between the months of June – August due to rain tend not to come down until the terrain that must be passed as safe.
If you want to get the best view of the Lake Kelimutu, went up between 2-3 hours in the morning from Moni which is the nearest village to the location of the Lake. Arriving at the Summit, you can see the view of the sunrise over Lake Kelimutu is wonderful. Don't forget to set up your camera.
Kelimutu National Park area is also the habitat for several species of animals and plants. Some of them even nearly extinct as Wallacea, the eagle owl and Whistler Flores Flores.
